JALA KING - Occupational Therapist
I completed my Bachelor of Occupational Therapy at the Australian Catholic University in Melbourne in 2017. During my studies I completed a variety of placements including the Victorian Spinal Rehabilitation Centre at the Royal Talbot, various schools where I implemented fine motor skill programs and several hospitals. In 2016 I began working as a community access worker where my passion for working with children and adults with a disability grew.
After completing my degree I worked as a Program Coordinator/ Support coordinator where I assisted families to navigate the NDIS, organise support and weekend activities for children. For the past 18 months I have been working at Latrobe Special Developmental School supporting students to develop their fine motor, self care and social skills. As well as emotional regulation and sensory processing skills.
MELISSA CAIN - Allied Health Assistant and Administration
I started working with Monica over 5 years ago as an allied health assistant during school holiday group sessions. I now work at the clinic full time providing OT allied health services and administration support. I have over 10 years experience in the health industry treating various clients for sports injuries, permanent disability and general fitness. I’m a strong believer in exercise therapies and hope to use the knowledge I’ve gained to implement gross motor skill improvement at an early intervention level.
